Girnigoe is a traditional 200 year old Orkney farmhouse situated in the north of the island of Shapinsay with lovely sea views over Veantro Bay and towards many of the other islands. The farmhouse is centrally heated, tastefully furnished and provides the discerning visitor who enjoys the finer things in life with an ideal base to enjoy real Orcadian hospitality provided by a friendly local couple.
As we only accommodate a small number of guests at one time, you are always assured of our personal attention. As indicated by the 4 star grade you can expect a high standard of care. Our well known reputation has been built on quality of service and value for money.
The accommodation consists of one en-suite twin room with shower and one double with private adjoining bath / shower.
Both rooms have good firm beds with electric blankets, TV, radio, hospitality trays, books and magazines. The lounge is spacious and comfortable and available for use of guests throughout the day. You will find a TV, video, radio and an excellent collection of books including many Orkney books there.
House rules are kept to a minimum but we do operate a no-smoking policy for the comfort of all our guests.
